justice. and mercy.

i crave Your justice, God.

i see the depravity of this world,

the conditions of our flesh.

i smell the stench of a nation polluted with sin and violence and hatred,

and sometimes i wonder how you can still look upon us.

we are filthy,

wretched,

and crying out for life immortal.

come quickly for us,

deliver us from our daily death,

only that we might dwell in the beauty of your splendor.

what a glorious contrast to this mundane mess,

what an unmatchable thought in the midst of this lust-filled world.

all i need is You, Lord,

all i need is You, Lord, is You, Lord.
